On July 28, 2012 about 5:30 am police received a report that a female had been beaten up in a house on Cornwallis Cr. The suspect fled prior to Police arrival and the victim was subsequently transported by ambulance to BRHC where she will be kept in overnight for facial injuries. Later that morning the suspect, a 37 year old male from Brandon, returned to the house and passed-out on the back step. He was arrested and will appear before a Justice this morning on charges of Assault causing bodily harm.
On July 28, 2012 about 7:00 pm a bystander witnessed a collision in a parking lot of a business on 1st St and reported it to police. Police attended the scene and located the driver in his vehicle. He showed signs of impairment. He was brought to BPS and provided samples of his breath showing he was over the legal limit.
The suspect was released to appear in court on August 2, 2012 on charges of Impaired Driving and driving while over .08 mg%.
