Uttering Threats

On February 5, 2021, police received a report that an inmate at Brandon Correctional Center threatened the life of a Correctional Officer on February 4, 2021.  The inmate claimed to have access to a firearm, and that once released he would find the officer and shoot them.  On February 21, 2021, the 33-year-old male was arrested in BCC where he remains.  He will appear in court today on a charge of Uttering Threats.

 

Assault

On February 21, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault, which occurred in the 000 block of 8th street at approximately 4:30 pm.  The 23-year-old male assaulted the victim by punching them and dragging them on the ground.  The male was lodged at Brandon Police Service after he was arrested.  He will appear in court today on a charge of Assault.  The victim did not require medical attention following the assault.

 

Breach of Peace

On February 21, 2021 at approximately 6:00 pm, police responded to a request to remove an individual from a residence.  The 36-year-old male was intoxicated, refusing to leave, and causing problem for the residents.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On February 21, 2021 at approximately 9:30 pm, police responded to a report of a 26-year-old intoxicated female in a residence, whose behavior was causing concern for her family members.  To prevent the female’s actions from escalating, she was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On February 22, 2021, at 12:30 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated 16-year-old female, who was throwing things inside a residence.  The adults in the residence could not prevent her behavior from continuing or escalating.  The female was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On February 22, 2021, an intoxicated 30-year-old male was brought to Brandon Police Service, as he had nowhere to go.  He was lodged until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Recognizance

On February 22, 2021, just after midnight, police responded to a report of an intoxicated 32-year-old male in a residence, refusing to leave.  Police learned that the male was in breach of conditions on a Recognizance he was to abide by.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Recognizance.

 

Break and Enter

On February 21, 2021 at approximately 10:45 pm, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 400 block of Frederick Street, which occurred at approximately 9:30 pm.  The suspect entered through an unlocked door and was observed by a witness.  The male is described as 5”7’, slim build wearing all black, including a black mask, gloves and toque.  Stolen were an Xbox with controller and headphones, an IPad 4 mini, a backpack containing white LeBron shoes, apple headphones, an older pair of Air Jordan shoes, and a mini pink leather back pack.  Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.
