Sexual Interference

In May 2020, police received a report of a historical sexual abuse to a child occurring between January 2018 and December 2019.  An investigation in to the abuse led members from Brandon Police Service Major Crimes section to arrest a 49-year-old male relative of the child on February 4, 2021.  He was released to appear in court on April 29, 2021 on charges of Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference. 

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On February 4, 2021 shortly before 3:00 pm, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 1800 block of Middleton Ave.  Police learned that the driver was to have no contact with another passenger.  He was also in breach of several other conditions.  The 42-year-old male from Halifax, NS was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will appear in court today on seven counts of Fail to comply with Release Order.

 

Drive Prohibited

On February 4, 2021 shortly after 12:00 pm, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 100 block of Kirkaldy.  The 35-year-old driver of the vehicle was prohibited from driving.  He was arrested and released to appear in court on March 29, 2021 on a charge of Drive Prohibited.

 

Arrest Warrant

On February 5, 2021, at approximately midnight, police located and arrested a 42-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Uttering Threats X 2 and Fail to Comply with Release Order X 6.

 

Break and Enter to Business

On February 5, 2021, police responded to a report of a vehicle alarm sounding from a compound in the 400 block of Rosser Ave.  The locked gate to the compound had been cut.  An unknown suspect forcibly entered two sheds within the compound prior to police arrival.  Taken from one of the sheds was a metal bed frame.  Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter and Theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police service.
