On November 7, a female contacted BPS and reported that she was assaulted by her ex-partner who struck her in the arm with a broom.  The victim did not sustain any injury and did not require treatment.  On Thursday the accused, a 46-year-old Brandon male was located at his residence.  He was arrested and released for court in January.


Breach of Court Order

On Thursday afternoon, police attended a residence in the 1000-block of 26 Street, after receiving a call from Child and Family Services.  Present in the residence was a 23-year-old male who is on a court order with numerous conditions including not to attend the residence, not to be within 200 meters of the residence, not to have contact with the female occupant and not to be in a residence where children are present.  The male was also wanted on two warrants for several sexual assault related offences.  The male was located, hiding inside the residence and was arrested without incident.  He will appear in court in the morning.


Assault Police Officer

On Thursday morning, while taking fingerprints from a 30-year-old female, in custody for mischief, the female spit in the officers face striking him in the eye.  The female was arrested and charged with assault police officer and was released, later in the day, for court in December.
