Fail to Comply with Release Order

At approx. 9:35 AM Monday police were called about a possible impaired driver on 18th St N. Members attended to the area and located the vehicle parked and empty in the parking lot.  Further investigation revealed a male from the vehicle had entered a store in the Corral Centre.  Officers entered the store to locate him and found him hiding from them in a mechanical room.  The 31-year-old male of Virden was not intoxicated, however he was on a release order with a condition that he not attend to the City of Brandon. He was arrested for failing to comply with the order and was to appear in court on Monday afternoon. 


Committal Warrant Executed

At approx. 1:30 Monday afternoon, officers attended to a residence in the 300 block of Maryland Ave in an attempt to locate a 37-year-old male of Plumas MB.  The male was the subject of a warrant for numerus firearm charges from 2018.  The male was located and arrested on the strength of the warrant as well as for failing to comply with his release order.  He is currently bound by a 24-hour curfew to reside in Plumas which he was not complying with. He was held in custody and will appear in court later today.
