Warrants Executed

On Monday afternoon, police located a female in the 700 block of 8th Street with two outstanding arrest warrants for failing to comply with probation and fail to appear for fingerprints. The 28-year-old Brandon female was arrested and held in custody for court in the morning.

On Monday afternoon, Brandon Police Service members attended the Brandon Correctional Center and executed an arrest warrant held by Winnipeg Police Service on a 25-year-old male for robbery, fail to comply with an undertaking and fail to appear for fingerprints. The male was held in custody for court in the morning.

On Monday evening, police located a 35-year-old Brandon female at her residence in the 1200 block of Rosser Avenue after she called police for an unrelated incident. The female was wanted for failing to appear in court, theft, breach of probation and fraud. She was intoxicated at the time of her arrest and was lodged at BPS for release when sober. She will appear in court in December.

On Monday evening, BPS conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of 8th Street. The 23-year-old female passenger from Brandon was found to have an unendorsed warrant from The Pas for theft over $5000.00. She was held in custody for court in the morning.

At approximately 1 am, officers attended a residence in the 700 block of Rosser for a group of suspicious persons. At the scene, members located a 34-year-old Brandon female wanted by police for breach of probation and theft on an endorsed warrant. The female was arrested and released for court in December.

At approximately 1:40 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Lorne Avenue. The driver, a 36-year-old Brandon male was wanted for failing to appear for fingerprints. He was arrested and released for court in November. The 25-year-old male passenger from Neepawa was wanted on an endorsed warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints. When arrested he was found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, packaging materials and cash. The male was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and was released for court in December.

 

Theft

On Monday afternoon, a male was detained by loss prevention officers at a north end retailer who tried to leave the store without paying for a shopping cart full of merchandise, valued at approximately $1000.00. The 41-year-old Winnipeg male was arrested by Brandon Police Service members and was held in custody for court in the morning.

 

Break and Enter

At noon on Monday, a homeowner on Garnet Place reported that sometime overnight her unlocked vehicle was entered. The garage door opener was then used to gain access to the garage. A number of tools, identification and cash was stolen. Police are continuing to investigate.

 

Mischief

On Monday afternoon, a male caused damage to a vehicle parked at a restaurant in the south end, by kicking it in frustration. The 26-year-old male from Minnedosa was located in the area and arrested for mischief under $5000.00. He was released from custody and will appear in court in December.

 

Theft of Boat and Trailer

On Monday morning, the owner of a 2005 Mirage Ski boat and trailer reported that they had been stolen from 1st Street North where they were parked. Police are continuing to investigate.
