October 18th 2020

For the last 24 hours:

On October 17, 2020 police received a report of a Break and Enter to a garage in the 400 block of 23rd Street.  A number of power tools were stolen.  No suspects have been developed at this time.  The investigation is ongoing.

On October 17, 2020 police received a report of a Break and Enter to a garage in the 700 block of 14th street.  Once inside the garage, a vehicle was entered and an unknown amount of change stolen from it.  At the time of the report it was unknown if any other property was stolen.  The investigation is ongoing.

On October 17, 2020 police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block Brock Avenue.  A male located in the vehicle was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Theft Under x 2 and Fail to Attend Court x 2.  He was arrested and released to appear in court on December 17th, 2020

On October 7th, 2020 police received a report of a theft from a residence in the 400 block of 10th street.  The Investigation revealed that an Xbox and cell phone were taken from the resident by a woman who was staying in the home temporarily.  When the owner tried to recover the items, the woman threatened to stab him.  On October 17, 2020 the woman was arrested for Uttering Threats.  The investigation into the theft is still on going.  She was released on an Undertaking to appear in court on December 31st, 2020.

On October 17, 2020 police conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 Block of Brandon Avenue.  During the stop, a 50 year old male passenger was found to have a warrant for his arrest for failing to attend court. The Brandon man was placed under arrest and lodged for Court later in the day.

On October 18, 2020 in the early morning hours a vehicle was checked in the 000 block of 10th street for improper use of license plate.  The driver of the vehicle showed signs of impairment.  A 28 year old Brandon man was arrested for Impaired Driving and Drive with more than 80mg of alcohol in Blood. He was released to appear in court on October 22, 2020.

On October 18, 2020 in the early morning hours a pedestrian was checked after she was observed with open liquor.  During the investigation she was found to be carrying a can of Bear Mace and in possession of a small quantity of Meth.  The 18 year old woman from Griswold Manitoba was arrested and released to appear in court on December 31st, 2020 for Possess Prohibited Weapon, Possess Weapon Dangerous, and Possess Meth.

On October 18th, 2020 the Winnipeg Police Service located a 23 year old Brandon man with an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Discharge Firearm with intent.   He was arrested, lodged and will appear in court later today.
