Arrest Warrants Executed

On Saturday afternoon, members of the Manitoba First Nations Police Service arrested a 17-year-old male, with no fixed address, on the strength of a Brandon Police Service warrant for take motor vehicle without owner’s consent and fail to appear in court.  The male was released for court in November.

At approximately 4 am, Sunday morning, police conducted a vehicle stop on Middleton Avenue.  One occupant, a 30-year-old male from Brandon, was found to be wanted on an endorsed warrant for numerous firearms offences and failing to appear in court.  The male was also charged with failing to comply with the conditions of a release order.  He was lodged at BPS for release when sober.  He will appear in court in November.


Theft of Vehicle

Early Saturday morning, a resident in the 800 block of 6 Street reported that her vehicle was stolen sometime overnight.  Later Saturday evening the vehicle was located in the north end of Brandon, unoccupied.  Police are continuing to investigate.


Fail to Comply with a Court Order

At approximately midnight, Saturday night, police attended the 300 block of McDiarmid Drive for a complaint of a suspicious male, looking in windows.  The male was located and found to be subject to the conditions of a release order with the condition to abstain from alcohol.  The 48-year-old male from Brandon was visibly intoxicated at the time of his arrest.  He was lodged at BPS for release when sober.  He will appear in court in December.
