Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

At approx. 1:45 Saturday afternoon, police attended to a hotel in the 900 block of Pacific Ave for a person with a gun.  The caller indicated that there was a knock at is door and when he opened the door a female pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him.  A few minutes later, the same female approached a male in the parking lot and started a verbal altercation. An unknown male with the female, pulled a gun out and while pointing the gun at the victim, told him to leave.  A few minutes later, Officers located the female behind a business in the 800 block of Rosser Ave.  She was holding the handgun and pointing it at a few other people that had congregated behand the building.  Officers engaged the female and ordered her to drop the weapon, and she complied and was taken into custody without injury or harm to anyone.  The handgun was later found to be a Crossman Airsoft pistol designed as an exact replica of a Sig Sauer pistol.  The 44-year-old female of Waywayseecappo has been charged with 2 counts of Point Imitation Firearm, Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, and Uttering Threats.  She will appear in court later this morning.

 

Breach of Probation

At approx. 10 PM Saturday evening, a female reported that she was being chased by a male that was on an order, which included a condition not to communicate with her.  Officers located the male in the 1300 block of Louise and arrested him for breaching his Probation condition.  The male was held until sober, and then released with a September 14 court date, charged for Breach of Probation.

 

Fail to comply with and Undertaking

At approx. 12:40 AM today, officers checked a female walking in the 800 block of 1st St.  the female was intoxicated at the time officers spoke with her.  The 35-year-old Winnipeg female was found to be on a court ordered Undertaking with conditions, which stated she must not consume alcohol, she must abide by a curfew, and she must not attend Brandon. She was arrested for 3 counts of failing to comply with and Undertaking and she will appear in court later this morning.

 

Winnipeg Arrests Warrants Executed

At approx. 2 AM today, officers were called to the 60 block of Van Horne Ave for a male and female arguing.  Upon arrival the two subjects were identified and both were found be wanted by the Winnipeg Police Service.  The 28-year-old male of Winnipeg was arrested of the strength of a warrant for failing to comply with Probation.  The 31-year-old female also of Winnipeg was arrested on the strength o a warrant for theft under $5000. Both subjects were released with a court date f October 7 in Winnipeg.

 

Other Arrests:

  • 1 person was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and held until sober.
  • 3 people were arrested for Breach of the Peace, and held at the Brandon Police Service until sober.
