Assault with a Weapon

On July 3, 2020, at approximately 9:00 am, police responded to a report of an individual being assaulted at a business in the 800 Pacific Ave. The victim did not require medical attention, but reported being struck with a 2 X 4 by the same suspect earlier in the morning. The 51-year-old male was arrested and will appear in court at a later date on charges of Assault with a Weapon and Assault.

 

Fail to Attend Court

On July 3, 2020, a 45-year-old male attended to Brandon Police Service, as he was wanted on outstanding charges for Fail to Attend Court. He was arrested and appeared in court that afternoon, prior to being released.

 

Fail to Comply with Probation

On July 3, 2020, police responded to a report of a disturbance in the downtown area at approximately 4:30 pm between extended family members who were fighting. One of the individuals involved was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Fail to Comply with Probation. The 18-year-old female was arrested and will appear in court at a later date.

 

Fraud Transportation

On July 3, 2020, shortly before 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of several individuals not paying for taxi service. The individuals ran from the driver, but were later located by police. A 26-year-old female was arrested and will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Fraud Transportation. A 32-year-old male was also arrested as he was on release conditions that he failed to abide by. He will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Conditions.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On July 3, 2020, shortly after 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male who attended a business in the 900 block of 18th street N, which was against his release order. The 34-year-old male was located nearby and arrested. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Breach of Peace

On July 4, 2020, police responded to a report of a fight at a business in the 1100 block of 18th street shortly before 1:00 am. One of the individuals involved was highly intoxicated and arrested to prevent further fighting, as his family was not able to prevent his behavior from escalating. The 21-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Impaired Driver/Careless Storage of a Firearm

On July 4, 2020, shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 34th street and Victoria Ave. The driver of one of the vehicles was found to be impaired. The 54-year-old male was arrested and provided sample of his breath that were more than twice the legal limit. A search of his vehicle located a loaded 308 rifle which was seized. The driver will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Impaired Driving and Careless Storage of a Firearm.

 

Mischief to Property

On July 3, 2020, at approximately 10:30 pm, police responded to a report of damage to a window at a business in the 300 block of 18th street N. The 18-year-old female suspect received minor cuts as a result. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released when sober. She will appear at court on a later date on charges of Mischief to Property.

 

Fail to Comply with Probation

On July 4, 2020, at approximately 4:30 am, police responded to a report of a fight at a residence. One of the occupants of the residence was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant. The 15-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation. She will appear at a later date.
