Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Stolen Vehicle

A 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport with Manitoba license plate KLH415 was reported stolen on Monday afternoon. The vehicle was parked in a compound of a dealership on Victoria Ave West and was noticed missing on June 9th. Staff determined the vehicle was not loaned out and reported it stolen. The vehicle is green.

Break and Enter – Search Warrant executed

On Friday June 12th, a break and enter was reported to a storage compound in a parking garage of an apartment complex on Outback Drive. A number of tools valued at over $1000 were stolen. The investigation was by the Major Crimes Unit led to identifying two suspects. On Monday afternoon, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Middleton Ave. The stolen tools were recovered and two people were arrested. A 24 year Brandon will appear in court in September on a charge of Break Enter and Theft while a 29 year old Brandon man appeared in court on Tuesday morning on the same charge.

Stabbing  

Around 2:40 am on Tuesday morning, officers responded to a 911 caller reporting a man had been stabbed on Pacific Ave in front of a bar. The male victim was transported to Brandon Regional Health Center for treatment of a non-life threatening stab would to his abdomen. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.  

Other Arrests

A 38 year old Brandon was charged with Failing to Comply with an Undertaking on Monday afternoon. He was located by police on 12th St, intoxicated by alcohol and causing a disturbance.

Two people were lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and two people were lodged for Breach of Peace.
