Arrest Warrant

On May 24, 2020, police conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of 10th street. The driver was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant. The 29-year-old male will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Fail to comply with Probation.

 

Assault with a Weapon

On May 15, 2020, police received a report of an assault in which the victim was struck in the leg with a bicycle part. The victim received an injury, which required medical attention. On May 24, 2020, the 47-year-old male suspect was located and arrested. He will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Assault with a Weapon.

 

Possess Meth

On May 24, 2020 at approximately 9:30 pm, police came across a 46-year-old male who was to abide by a court ordered curfew. After his arrest, police located 1 gram of Meth in his possession. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth, and Fail to comply with Recognizance X 3.

 

Consume Liquor Under 18 years

On May 25, 2020 at approximately 1:30 am, police responded to a report of a female youth who had gone missing, but was later located intoxicated by alcohol. Due to the level of her intoxication, she was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released to her caregivers once sober.

 

Breach of Peace

On May 25, 2020, police responded to a report of a 27-year-old male who was causing a disturbance in a residence as he was under the influence of an unknown drug. The others in the residence were unable to manage his behavior safely. To prevent the situation from escalating, the male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Traffic Stop results in charges

On May 25, 2020, police stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of College ave at approximately 2:45 am. Investigation led police to discover a pellet handgun, and 1.9 grams of Cocaine. A 40-year-old female was arrested and will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. A 30-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service on charges of Fail to comply with Release Order and Possession of cocaine. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On May 23, 2020, police conducted a curfew check on a 25-year-old female, who was not at home when required. She was located and arrested on May 24, 2020. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court later that day.

 

IPDA

On May 24, 2020, shortly after 1:00 pm, police received a report of a 46-year-old female who was in the 2500 block of Richmond Ave in the street. The female was not able to care for herself, and there was nobody else to turn her over to. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
