Court Order Violations

On Tuesday afternoon, police arrested a 16-year-old Brandon female on the strength of a Supervision Suspension Warrant. She was held in custody for court in the morning.


Recovered Stolen Vehicle

On Tuesday afternoon, Brandon Police attended a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of 2nd Street. The vehicle had apparently been abandoned on the street. Checks revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen in Calgary in March. The vehicle was towed for a forensic examination.


Break and Enter

On Tuesday afternoon, the property owner of a west-end residence reported that both the garage and house were entered sometime during the afternoon. The suspect extensively damaged the inside of the residence with damage to the walls and flooring. Police are continuing to investigate.

On Tuesday evening, a local hotel reported a male had just broken in to one of their rooms. The suspect fled the area on foot, entering a second property. He fled from that residence to the garage of another close by residence who called the police. The suspect was found in the garage but was resistant to being arrested. The accused. A 37-year-old Brandon male, was taken in to custody and is charged with two counts of break and enter, resist arrest and failing to comply with his release order. He will appear in court in the morning.



Shortly after midnight, a female called to report that her husband had returned home intoxicated and assaulted her. The caller did not require medical attention. The suspect, a 35-year-old Brandon male, was arrested at the scene for domestic assault and held in custody for release when sober. He will appear in court in August.


Arrest Warrant Executed

Shortly after 1 am, a north end motel reported a disturbance at the business. A 36-year-old female from Winnipeg was involved and when checked found to have an endorsed warrant from Winnipeg Police for Mischief and Causing a Disturbance. She was released from custody and will appear in court in Winnipeg in August.



On Tuesday afternoon, Brandon Police Service members executed a search warrant at a residence in Elgin to retrieve stolen property. The male resident, a 42-year-old, was arrested without incident. Police recovered a number of stolen items from a business in Brandon, including an ATV and numerous electronics. The accused was also found to have several unendorsed warrants for his arrest held by the RCMP in Boissevain and Souris. The male was held in custody for court in the morning and is charged with six counts of theft, possess property obtained by crime, six counts of mischief, failing to comply with a court order and failing to appear in court.
