Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth

On May 16, 2020, shortly before 11:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Richmond Ave. An investigation led police to discover that the occupants were found to be in possession of 37 grams of Meth and over $800 in cash.

A 40-year-old male and a 28-year-old female were arrested and will appear in court at a later date on charges of Possess for the Purpose.


Arrest Warrant

On May 17, 2020, police responded to a disturbance in a residence at approximately 12:00 pm. The 28-year-old male who was damaging property inside the home was found to be wanted on an outstanding charge of Uttering Threats. He was arrested and later released to appear in court at a later date.


Break and Enter to Garage

On May 16, 2020, police received a report of a break and enter to a garage in the 200 block of 4th street. Suspects gained entry between May 15 at noon, and the same time the following day. Stolen were assorted tools and power tools including an air pump, several drills, a grinder, and a saw. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter and Theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.


Arrest Warrant

On May 15, 2020 shortly before 9:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of 26th street. One of the occupants was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Drive Suspended. As the 26-year-old male was under the influence of illicit drugs at the time of his arrest, he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until he could be released sober, to appear in court on a later date.



On May 17, 2020 at approximately 4:00 am, a van entered the Brandon Police Service parking lot. Call takers who were working at the front of the building at the time observed several items fall out of the vehicle as it drive around. Police investigated and learned that the individuals who occupied the van had an argument, which turned physical. A 38-year-old male was arrested for assault and will appear in court at a later date. The victim received medical attention for minor injuries.


Other Arrests

Police arrested seven adults from separate complaints throughout the evening. They were each intoxicated by alcohol or illicit drugs, and could not conduct themselves in a safe manner, or be left on their own. They were each lodged at Brandon Police Service until they could be released when sober.
