Break and Enter to Business

On May 16, 2020 at approximately 1:30 am, police received a report of a business alarm in the 100 block of 17th street N. The suspects fled the business after breaking a window and stealing a Specialized brand bicycle, Teal in colour. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Breach of Release Order – Arrest Warrants

On May 15, 2020, police conducted a traffic stop in the 000 block of Willowdale Cres, shortly before midnight. A 24-year-old male passenger was to abide by conditions to observe a 24-hour curfew. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

During the same traffic stop, a 38-year-old male passenger was found to be the subject of outstanding arrest warrants for Possess Property Obtained by Crime, and Fraud. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

Liquor Gaming Cannabis Control Act

On May 15, 2020, police responded to a report of females fighting at a residence. One of the females, a 16-year-old youth was no longer welcome at the residence while intoxicated. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober, and will receive a fine for Consume Under.

 

Arrest Warrant - Fail to Comply with Probation

On May 15, 2020, police received a report of an individual who was trespassing on CP Rail property. CP Police had arrested the individual who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant by Brandon Police Service. The 24-year-old male was released to appear in court on a later date.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking – Possess Cocaine

On May 15, 2020, police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of 34th street at approximately 5:30 pm. The vehicle being driven had inactive license plates. The three occupants were each failing to abide by court ordered conditions and arrested.

A 39-year-old male was found to be in possession of a small amount of Cocaine. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Undertaking and Possess Cocaine.

A 20-year-old female was found to be in possession of a small amount of Cocaine and Meth. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Undertaking, and Possess Cocaine and Meth.

A second 20-year-old female was released to appear in court on charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking at a later date.

 

Drive While Ability Impaired

On March 14, 2020, police received a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 1 and 1st street N at approximately 3:30 am. The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to BRHC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On May 15, 2020, the 26-year-old male driver was arrested for Drive While Ability Impaired and will appear in court on August 13, 2020.

 

Break and Enter to Residence

On May 15, 2020, police responded to report of a break and enter to a residence in the 800 block of 11th street. It is believed to have occurred between 11:00 am on May 14, 2020 and 12:00 pm on May 15, 2020. The suspect gained entry by forcing a door. It does not appear that anything was stolen. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.
