Domestic Assault

On Monday afternoon, police attended a residence in the west end of Brandon for a complaint of a domestic assault. The female victim reported her ex-common-law attended the residence while she was there retrieving some belongings and assaulted her. She was treated and released from BRHC with minor injuries. The 23-year-old male from Brandon was arrested at the scene and held in custody for a bail hearing in the morning. The suspect is currently on a release order with conditions not to consume alcohol and to have no contact with the victim. The accused was intoxicated at the time of his arrest and was charged with assault and two counts of breaching of his release order.

Breach of Court Order

On Monday afternoon, Probation Services contacted police to report one of their clients was present in the office and had a warrant for his arrest for violating the conditions of his release from custody. The 19-year-old Brandon male was arrested and released and will appear in court in July.
