Possess Property Obtained by Crime

Early Sunday morning a Brandon resident reported his vehicle stole. The police investigation led to the arrest of a 50-year-old Brandon female who was identified as being in possession of the stolen vehicle. She was arrested and released for court in July. The stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.



On Sunday afternoon, police received a report of an intoxicated female causing damage to the hallways in an apartment complex in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue. The 20-year-old female from Sioux Valley was located, highly intoxicated and was damaging the walls by writing on them in permanent marker. The female was arrested and eventually released, when sober, to appear in court in July.


Weapons Offences / Possess Property Obtained by Crime

At approximately 2 a.m. Monday morning, a resident in the 4000 block of McTavish reported two males with break-in instruments checking vehicles in the area. Both males were apprehended after a short foot pursuit when they fled from police. On male, a 16-year-old from Brandon, was found in possession of a knife and bear mace. He is also on court ordered conditions with a curfew and is prohibited from possessing weapons. He was arrested and charged with three counts of breaching his undertaking, possessing a weapon (knife), carrying a concealed weapon (knife) and possession of a prohibited weapon (bear mace). He was lodged and will appear in court in the morning.

The second male, a 17-year-old from Brandon, apprehended in the above incident was arrested at the scene and released to a parent a short time later. He was charged with possess property obtained by crime and possession of Cannabis by a minor. He will appear in court in July.
