Breach of Release order 

On March 21st, police attended to the 1500 block of 26th street for a report of a male yelling outside of a residence. Officers located the male and learned that he is on a court order not to attend the residence or have contact with the residents. The 35-year-old male was arrested for two counts of failing to comply with his release order. He was lodged at BCC to appear for court in the morning.  

 

Warrant for Theft under $5000 X2.  

On March 21th police received a report of an unknown suspect trying to get into a residence in the 400 block of 2nd street. The complaint turned out to be unfounded, however the caller was identified and officers learned that she was wanted on two outstanding warrants for Theft under $5000.00. The 44 year old female was arrested for these offences and later released on an appearance notice to attend court in July 2020.

 

Possession of Meth 

On March 21st, at approximately 8:30pm officers conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of 1st Street with an unregistered vehicle from Alberta. After identifying and speaking with the driver, and furthering the investigation, the officers located a small amount of Meth on the driver. A 26 year old female was arrested and later released to appear in court in June 2020. 

 

Possession of Prohibited Weapon & Breach charges 

On March 22nd, at approximately 3:00am, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Highland Ave with a suspicious vehicle full of occupants. The driver and passengers were identified and the two females were found to be in breach of their release orders. They were removed from the vehicle and arrested. Officers then noticed a canister of Bear Spray, which is a prohibited weapon. A male occupant was then arrested for unauthorized possession of the prohibited weapon. The 31 and 35 year old women were lodged at BCC to appear for court in the morning. The 24 year old male was released on an appearance notice to attend court in July 2020.
