Assault with a Weapon

On March 13, 2020, police received a report, which occurred on a Correctional Officer at Brandon Correctional Centre.

A 24-year-old male threw a metal tray at an officer’s head. The officer was able to block the tray with their arm, and sustained minor injuries.

The suspect remains in custody at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court this morning on charges of Assault with a Weapon.

 

Theft Under $5000

On February 20, 2020, police received a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 800 block of 18th street N. Security footage of the suspect assisted police in learning his identity.

On March 16, 2020, the 37-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court today on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 17, 2020, shortly before 4:00 am, police received a report of a disturbance occurring in a residence. A 51-year-old male who was under the influence of Meth was found to be part of the problem. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent the situation from escalating further.

A 31-year-old male in the residence was found to be wanted on several outstanding charges was also arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. He will appear in court this morning.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 17, 2020 at approximately 5:00 am, police received a complaint from a taxi driver, of an intoxicated fare who was causing him problems. The 34-year-old male passenger was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.
