Assault

On February 13, 2020, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence at approximately 1:30 pm.  An argument between two individuals turned physical.  Both individuals sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention.  A 40-year-old male and a 34-year-old female were each arrested and will appear in court on March 12, 2020 on charges of Assault.

 

Breach of the Peace/Arrest Warrant

On February 13, 2020, shortly after 10:00 pm, police received a complaint of a disturbance occurring in a residence. Witnesses could hear screaming, yelling and people fighting. Police learned that the dispute was between several family members.

An 18-year-old female, who was intoxicated and part of the problem, was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent the situation from escalating further.

A 14-year-old female who was also part of the problem was arrested on the strength of an outstanding arrest warrant. She was released to an adult relative and will appear in court on March 17, 2020 on charges of Breach of Probation under the YCJA.

 

Breach of the Peace/IPDA

On February 13, 2020, two individuals were arrested in separate incidents for Breach of the Peace due to their concerning behavior. Those around them were unable to manage their behavior safely. A third individual was located passed out in public during a separate incident. The three individuals were each lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Arrest Warrants

On February 13, 2020, two individuals attended Brandon Police Service separately to turn themselves in on outstanding arrest warrants.
