Search of Residence/Multiple arrests

On February 11, 2020, police observed a male who was known to them to be wanted on outstanding charges. Police attempted to arrest the male; however, he fled on foot. Police canine tracked the male to the door of the residence where he was court ordered to reside in the 100 block of 15th street.

Police obtained a warrant to enter the residence and arrest the male. He was located hiding in the attic at approximately 5:40 pm.

The 32-year-old male suspect was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. He will appear in court today on the arrest warrant charges of Assault with a Weapon, Obstruct Peace Officer, Fail to comply with Recognizance, and Fail to comply with Release Order.

A 52-year-old male, and a 27-year-old female were also located in the residence during the search, both were very intoxicated. Neither were residents of the home, and the others within the home were not able to be responsible for him them in their intoxicated state. They too were lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.

Shortly after 7:00 pm, police responded to a request to assist Paramedics at the same residence. When police attended back to the residence, a male interfered with the emergency workers from attending to the individual requiring medical attention. The 34-year-old male suspect pushed a police officer into a wall and was subsequently arrested. He was released shortly thereafter, and will appear in court on April 6, 2020 on a charge of Assault Peace Officer.

An intoxicated 19-year-old female who was visiting the residence at the time was also uncooperative in allowing officers to attend to the male who required the assistance of Paramedics. Police learned that she was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Fail to Attend Court. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre due to her intoxication level, and she will appear in court on the outstanding charges on March 9, 2020.

The individual requiring medical attention was transported to BRHC by BFES.



On February 11, 2020, shortly after 5:00 am, police responded to a report of an assault, which occurred in a residence. Police located the victim outside the residence with minor injuries.

The suspect, a 52-year-old male, was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. Police learned that he was also to abide by conditions to have no communication with the victim. He will appear in court today on charges of Assault and Fail to Comply with Probation.


Theft Under $5000

On February 8, 2020, police received a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. The suspect fled before police were able to be notified of the theft, but he was able to be identified by the video surveillance.

On February 11, 2020, the 27-year-old male suspect was located and arrested. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court today on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Release Order.



On February 11, 2020, just before midnight, police received a report of a male who was passed out in a laneway in the 300 block of 6th street. The male was found to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He was lodged at Brandon correctional Centre until sober.
