Assault (Domestic), Resist Arrest:

At 9:00am, police were called to a disturbance at a residence on Westaway Bay where a 31 year old female had assaulted her boyfriend. Upon arrival, the woman turned her aggression towards police and began to struggle with officers. She was arrested for domestic assault and resist arrest. She was lodged at BCC to appear in court later in the day.


Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

At 9:13am, police attended to a business on Knowlton Drive for an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. A 39 year old man was located intoxicated and lodged at BCC to be released once sober.


Sexual Assault x6:

Further investigation into the 55 year old man who sexually assaulted several females during massages revealed six additional victims. On February 5th, he was arrested on the additional charges and released for court on February 27th, 2020.


Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, Invitation to Sexual Touching, Sexual Exploitation:

Between June 2019 and September 2019 the accused, a 15 year old male, sexually assaulted two youth relatives who he was babysitting. On February 5, 2020, he was arrested for the incidents and released for court on March 3rd, 2020.


Theft Under $5000 (Shoplifting):

At 5:22pm, police responded to a theft complaint at a business in the 900’ block of Victoria Ave. The female suspect stole a quantity of merchandise and when approached by staff fled on foot. She was located by officers in the area and arrested. The 40 year old female was also found to be intoxicated. She was lodged at BCC to be released once sober for court on March 26th, 2020.


Arrest Warrant Executed (Mischief Under $5000):

At 5:15pm, a 19 year old male attended to BPS and turned himself in on a warrant for mischief under $5000. He was arrested and released for court on March 5th, 2020.


Assault (Domestic):

At 9:59pm, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 300’ block of 5th Street. A 23 year old female and 32 year old male were found to be intoxicated. Both made allegations that the other had hit them with a TV cord. Both were arrested and lodged at BCC to be released once sober for court on April 2nd, 2020.
