Possess Property Obtained by Crime

On February 2, 2020, at approximately 8:00 am, police responded to a report of two suspects observed to be car hopping in the 300 block of 2nd street. When the suspects were located, they ran from police; however, they were apprehended a short distance away.

One of the suspects, a 21-year-old male, was found to be in possession of a small quantity of Meth, and a stolen credit card. He was also in possession of recently purchased Visa cards.

An investigation into the Visa cards revealed they were purchased from a business in the 700 block of 10th street earlier that morning. Video surveillance also captured the suspect using the stolen credit card found in his possession to make the purchase.

The 21-year-old male suspect was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear on charges of Possess Meth, Fraud, Fraud Credit Card, and Possess Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Breach of Conditional Sentence

On February 2, 2020, police located a 23-year-old male in the 100 block of 5th street who was to abide by a 24-hour curfew. The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Theft Under $5000

On January 25, 2020, police received a report of a theft of merchandise from a business in the 700 block of 10th street. The suspect was later identified through video surveillance. The29-year-old female was located and arrested on February 2, 2020. She will appear in court on April 2, 2020 on a charge of Theft under $5000.

 

Arrest Warrant

On February 2, 2020, a 39-year-old male suspect was located at his residence and arrested on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court.

 

Theft Under $5000

On January 31, 2020, police received a complaint of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. The 40-year-old female suspect was located and arrested on February 2, 2020. She will appear in court on March 30, 2020.

 

Fail to comply with Court Order

On February 2, 2020 at approximatley11:30 pm, police responded to a report of a fight at a residence between multiple individuals. Initial reports indicated that weapons were involved. A 21-year-old male was found to be the main instigator of the disturbance. No weapons were found. The suspect was to abide by conditions not to consume alcohol. He was arrested and lodged t Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Court Order.

 

MLGCCA – Consume Under

On February 3, 2020, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence. Part of the cause of the disturbance was an intoxicated 14-year-old female. To prevent any further issues from escalating, she was lodged at Brandon Police Service, and will receive a fine for consuming liquor as a minor.

 

MLGCCA – Disorderly in Licensed Premise

On February 2, 2020, shortly after 11:00 pm, police responded to a complaint of two intoxicated individuals at a business in the 000 block of 10th street. The individuals were refusing to leave, and were acting aggressively towards others. A 49-year-old male and a 51-year-old female were arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. They will each receive a fine for Disorderly in a Licensed Premise.
