Sexual Assaults – Massage Therapist

On November 29, 2019, we released a report regarding two sexual assaults in which a massage therapist was responsible, and arrested. One assault occurring in the fall of 2018 and a second assault occurring on October 30, 2019. In both cases, the victims report that while receiving a massage the therapist made inappropriate sexual comments, while touching them in a sexual manner.

Following that report, six other adult females came forward to report similar occurrences between February and August 2019. The victims came forward with their reports independently of one another.

On December 17, 2019, the 54-year-old male suspect was arrested for the additional six offences. He is scheduled to appear in court today for all eight of the Sexual Assault counts.

Since December 17, 2019, five additional adult females have come forward to report similar offences occurring between the spring – fall 2019. An arrest warrant was issued for his arrest on January 16, 2020.

The suspect, now 55-year-old Michael Petrowski was arrested on Friday, January 17, 2020 on the five additional Sexual Assault counts. He will appear in court on those five charges on February 10, 2020.

 

Fail to Comply with Probation

On January 19, 2020 shortly before 9:00 pm, police received a report of a disturbance in a residence. Family members within the residence were intoxicated, and acting aggressively towards others in the home. They were on longer welcome.

An 18-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. She was to abide by conditions not to consume alcohol, and will appear in court this morning on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.

A second unwelcome family member left the residence on his own accord.

 

Breach of Peace

On January 19, 2020 shortly after 6:00 am, police responded to a report of an unwelcome intoxicated male at a residence. The male was banging on the door and refusing to leave. The 35-year-old male was lodged at Brandon correctional Centre to prevent him from returning to the residence.

 

Breach of Peace

On January 19, 2020 at approximately 7:00 am, police received a report of a disturbance in a residence. A member of a family was throwing things within the residence and scaring other members of the household while intoxicated.

The 37-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent the situation from escalating.

 

Fail to Comply with Probation

On January 19, 2020 at approximately 1:30 pm, Police located a 58-year-old male pedestrian in the 700 block of 8th street, who was known to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant. He will appear in court on February 20, 2020 on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Break and Enter

On January 19, 2020, police received a repost of a Break and Enter to a shed in the 100 block of Brentwood Village. The B&E is believed to have occurred between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm that day. The suspect cut the lock to the shed, and the door damaged. It is unknown if anything was stolen.

 

Assault

On January 19, 2020 at 2:30 pm, police responded to a report of an assault, which occurred within a residence. A 16-year-old female assaulted an adult caregiver, and was throwing items in the residence including an element from a stove. The female suspect was arrested and lodged at Brandon correctional Centre to prevent any further disturbances. She will appear in court on February 18, 2020 on a charge of assault. The victim did not require any medical attention.
