Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On December 31, 2019 shortly before 1:00 am, police responded to a report of a fight occurring at a business in the 000 block of 10th street between two males. Neither male required medical attention, nor did they have any complaint about the other one.

One of the males was to abide by conditions not to consume alcohol; however, he was in breach of this condition. The 39-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. Once sober he will be released to appear in court on February 24, 2020.

 

Two stolen vehicles recovered

On December 30, 2019, police received a report of the theft of a vehicle from the 1400 block of 22nd street. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between December 24, 2019 and the time of report while the owner was away from home. The vehicle was discovered in a ditch in the 5000 block of Richmond Ave on December 28, 2019, before it was reported stolen. It has since been towed for further forensic examination.

On December 30, 2019, police learned that the stolen 2001, grey, Oldsmobile Alero was located on Strathcona Street in Winnipeg. It has also been towed for further forensic examination.

Police continue to investigate the theft of these two vehicles. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

IPDA

On December 30, 2019, police received a report of a number of individuals who were loitering while intoxicated outside a business in the 1100 block of 18th street shortly before 5:00 pm. The individuals were not using the business, but were blocking others from gaining access.

Most of the group had dispersed the area upon police arrival; however, one male did not. The 57-year-old male had no one to care for him, and could not be left on his own due to his intoxication level. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.

 

IPDA

On December 30, 2019 shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female in a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. who was behaving inappropriately. The female was sampling cosmetics, and as a result, product was all over the floor.

She finally left the business when asked, and headed north where police located her in the vestibule of another business, which was closed for the day. Due to her intoxication level, the 28-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober, as she had no one to care for her.

 

Breach of Peace

On December 30, 2019 shortly after 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female who was intoxicated and acting out in an apartment building where she was no longer welcome. The female attempted to force her way back in, and would not leave the premises.

The 22-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent any further disturbances.

 

Arrest Warrants

In the last 24 hours, two individuals were arrested without incident on outstanding charges.
