Sexual Assault X Six

On November 29, 2019, we released a report regarding two sexual assaults in which a massage therapist was responsible, and arrested. One assault occurring in the fall of 2018 and a second assault occurring on October 30, 2019. In both cases, the two victims report that while receiving a massage the therapist made inappropriate sexual comments, while touching them in a sexual manner.

Since that report, six other adult females have come forward to report similar occurrences between February and August 2019. The victims came forward with their reports independently of one another.

On December 17, 2019, the 54-year-old male suspect was arrested for the additional six offences. He will appear in court on January 20, 2020 for all eight of the Sexual Assault counts, which includes the original two.

The male was working as an independent contractor at a business during these assaults. Since his initial arrest, he has taken a leave of absence, and is no longer seeing clients out of the business where the assaults took place.



On March 20, 2019, police received a report of a break and enter to a residence. Suspects forced their way inside and stole blank cheques, electronics, golf clubs and clothing.

The homeowner discovered that in April 2019, suspects successfully cashed his blank cheques, which had been forged.

Further investigation revealed that a 41-year-old female was one of the suspects involved in the incident, as she forged two of the cheques, which were cashed. She received approximately $950 for her part in the offence.

The 41-year-old female suspect was arrested on December 17, 2019. She will appear in court on February 10, 2020 on charges of Fraud under $5000 X 2, Use Forged document X 2, Forgery X 2, and Possess Property Obtained by Crime.


Theft Under $5000

On December 6, 2019, police received a report of theft of merchandise from a business in the 700 block of 10th street. The suspect fled, but his image was captured on video surveillance.

On December 17, 2019, shortly before 10:00 am, police responded to a report of a male who was causing a disturbance at a residence in the 000 block of Willowdale Cres as he was attempting to gain entrance even though he was unwelcome by the homeowner. The 26-year-old male suspect was located and arrested. Police learned that he was the subject of an outstanding arrest on charges of Fraud Transportation, and Assault with a Weapon. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

Police later learned that the suspect was the same individual who was the subject of the theft from a business on December 6, 2019. He was also arrested for the Theft Under $5000 as well and will appear in court on all charges today.


Theft Under $5000

On December 6, 2019, shortly after 3:00 pm, police received a complaint of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. Attempts to locate the male suspect following the theft were unsuccessful until the evening of December 17, 2019 when police came across him in the downtown area. The 27-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. He will appear in court today on the charge.


Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking

On December 17, 2019 at approximately 2:30 pm, police received a report of a highly intoxicated male who was in the area of 800 18th street N. Witnesses were concerned for him as he was slumped over on a bench. Police located the male and learned he was to abide by conditions not to consume any alcohol. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre, and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Breach of Undertaking.



On December 17, 2019 shortly after 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault between two individuals in a residence. Both parties reported to police that they were the victims of assault at the hand of the other; neither required any medical attention, as their injuries were minor in nature. The assaults consisted of pushing and scratching following an evening of consuming alcohol. Both individuals were arrested for assaults The 52-year-old male will appear in court on January 9, 2020, and the 48-year-old female will appear in court on January 13, 2020.


Arrest Warrants

On December 17, 2019, four individuals were located and arrested separately as they were wanted on outstanding arrest warrants from separate incidents. They will all be appearing in in court in the New Year.
