Drive Prohibited, Breach of Recognizance, Possession of Meth, Possession of Cocaine: 

At 9:52am police stopped a vehicle in the 700’ block of 13th Street. The driver, a 32 year old Brandon man, was found to be prohibited from driving and was arrested. A search incidental to his arrest resulted in the recovery of a small quantity of meth. He was also wanted for breaching a recognizance and failing to attend court. He was lodged for court on December 4th, 2019. The passenger, a 25 year old Brandon woman, was found to be in possession of Meth and Cocaine. She was released on a Promise to Appear for court on January 9th, 2020.


Domestic Assault:

Yesterday police received a complaint of a 21 year old Brandon man assaulting his girlfriend by punching her. At 12:08pm, the male was located in the 700’ block of Princess Ave and arrested for domestic assault. He was lodged for court in the morning.


Breach of Undertaking: 

At 1:45pm, police were called to a business on Highland Ave for an intoxicated guest causing a disturbance. The accused, a 39 year old female, was located and found to be on an Undertaking with a condition not to consume alcohol. She was arrested and lodged for court in the morning.


WPS Warrant Executed – Theft Under $5000: 

Winnipeg Police Service requested BPS execute a warrant of arrest on an inmate at BCC for theft under $5000. The 20 year old male inmate was arrested and will appear in court in the morning.


Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting: 

At 11:07pm, a 54 year old male was arrested at a business in the 900’ block of Victoria Ave for stealing a quantity of meat. He was released for court on February 3rd, 2020.


Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Use Forged Document: 

On April 18th, a 36 year old Brandon woman attended to a financial institution in Brandon and made two deposits to her account using cheques that were later found to be stolen. On December 4th, 2019, she was arrested and released for court on February 3rd, 2020.



On December 1st, 2019, police requested the public’s assistance in locating 62 year old Douglas Hicks. On December 3rd, 2019, at 4:09pm police located Mr. Hicks deceased near the 1st Street bridge. This incident is still under investigation by police and no further details will be released at this time. The police service would like to thank the public at large for their assistance with this incident.


Breach of Peace: 

At 5:31pm, a 35 year old female attended to BPS in a paranoid state and admitted to using meth. Due to her level of intoxication she was lodged at BCC for her safety until sober.


Breach of Undertaking, Breach of Probation, Warrant Executed: 

At 6:10pm, police responded to a disturbance in the 600’ block of Ottawa Ave. Police located a 41 year old Brandon man who was highly intoxicated and found to be breaching his undertaking and probation. He was lodged for court in the morning.


Intoxicated Person Detention Act: 

At 10:42pm, police were called to the 700’ block of 10th Street for an intoxicated 40 year old female who was believed to be high on meth. She was arrested, cleared medically, and lodged at BCC for her safety to be released when sober.


Breach of Peace: 

At 11:27pm, police were called to a residence on Darrach Bay for a disturbance. An intoxicated 18 year old male was arrested and lodged at BCC to be released when sober.


Refuse Alcohol Screening Device, Possession of Prohibited Weapon:

At 4:23am, police stopped a vehicle in the 2600’ block of Van Horne Ave. The driver was uncooperative and refused to provide a mandatory sample on the ASD. He was also found to have an invalid license. A search of the vehicle incidental to his arrest located a set of brass knuckles inside the vehicle. The 32 year male was lodged at BCC to be released when sober for court on December 9th, 2020.
