Stabbing

Just minutes before midnight on October 15, 2019, police responded to a report of an individual who had been stabbed in the torso during a dispute at a residence in the 300 block of 15th street. The victim was taken to the hospital, treated for the injury and released.

A 23-year-old female was arrested at the scene and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. She will appear in court today on a charge of Assault with a Weapon. Alcohol is believed to have played a factor in the dispute.

 

IPDA

On October 15, 2019 at 6:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male who was passed out in the common area of an apartment building in the 300 block of Durum Dr. The 25-year-old male had nowhere to go and no one to care for him. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Break and Enter Business

Police received a report of a break and enter that occurred between Saturday October 12, and Monday October 14, 2019 to a compound in the 1600 block of Parker Blvd. The suspect smashed a window to a vehicle, and entered a shed in the compound by forcing the lock. It is unknown if anything was taken at this time. Anyone with information to this Break and Enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Break and Enter Garage

Police received a report of a Break and Enter to a detached residential garage, which is believed to have occurred between October 11 and October 13, 2019 on Linden Blvd. The suspect is believed to have entered through an unlocked door. Once inside the suspect moved a snowmobile, but didn’t take it. The suspect stole a pink Trek Touring model bike. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter and Theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Arrest Warrant

At approximately 10:30 am, on October 15, 2019, police attended o a residence in search of a male who was wanted on charges of Fail to Attend Court. The 21-year-old male was located at home and attested. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and appeared in court.

 

Arrest Warrant

Shortly before 1:00 pm on October 15, 2019, a 35-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service as she was aware of a warrant in existence for her arrest. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Center and will appear in court today on charges of Breach of Recognizance, Theft Under $5000, and Contempt – Fail to Appear as a Witness.

 

Assault

At approximately 1:40 pm on October 15, 2019, police received a report of an assault that occurred at a business in the 3500 block of Victoria Ave. A 26-year-old male elbowed another individual in the head and smashed their cell phone. Police learned that the male was also to abide by conditions not to have any communication with the individual. The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. He will appear in court today on charges of Assault, Mischief to Property Under $5000, and Breach of Recognizance X 2.

 

Breach of Peace

At approximately 7:40 pm on October 15, 2019, police responded to a report of a male who was trashing an apartment in the 300 block of 7th street. The 25-year-old male was found to be under the influence of drugs and arrested to prevent any further problems. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Mischief to Property Under $5000

Shortly after 8:00 pm, on October 15, 2019, police responded to a report of a male who was damaging property in the apartment of an acquaintance. The 30-year-old male punched a hole in an interior door, and threw an object at a flat screen TV causing damage, in addition to throwing food such as ketchup and pasta sauce around the apartment. He was arrested and will appear in court on December 12, 2019 on a charge of Mischief to Property under $5000.
