For the last 24 hours:

 Domestic Assault

At 3:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon police attended to a residence in the 300 block of 25th Street, in response to a call from a female reporting an assault against her by her common law partner, age 36 years. The male had punched and kicked the victim multiple times in the head and body, and left the residence prior to police arriving. The suspect was located in the area and arrested, lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre, and will be remanded today on a charge of assault causing bodily harm. The victim was treated and released at hospital for her injuries.

Other Arrests

A 38-year-old male from Brandon, taken into custody on an outstanding BPS warrant of arrest, was released for court in December.

A 29-year-old male from Brandon was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre on Saturday at 11 p.m. to appear in court today, after being outside of his home beyond a court-mandated curfew. He is facing a single charge of breach of recognizance.
