Sexual Assault

On Friday afternoon, a 28 year old male from Brandon was arrested for Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Supplying liquor to a Minor. The incident occurred few days prior and the victim was known to the offender. The male suspect was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear before a Justice for a remand hearing on Saturday morning.

Breach of Undertaking order

On Friday evening, a 19 year old intoxicated female was initially arrested for shoplifting items from a business in the 700 block of 10th street, however all of the items were recovered and the store employees declined to press charges. Once the females identity was confirmed she was found to be bound by conditions of an Undertaking order which included “not to consume alcohol.” She was arrested fro breaching the order and lodged at the Brandon Correctional center. She will be released on a promise to Appear in Court once Sober.

Disorderly in a Licensed Premises

On Friday evening, police were called to the 1100 block of 18th where two males were causing problems with bar staff. They were attempting to fight with Security and refusing to pay their outstanding bill. Upon arrival, both males were found to be highly intoxicated and were arrested under the Liquor, Cannabis & Gaming Act for being Disorderly in a Licensed Premises. A 22 year old male and a 28 year old male, both from Brandon were lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center, to be released once sober and issued their Offence Notices.

 

Other Arrests

On Friday evening, a 31 year old female from Brandon was causing a disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of 6th St, and was no longer welcome there. She was removed and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center, to be released when sober.

On Friday evening, a 52 year old female from Brandon was observed having trouble walking in the 300 block of 9th St. She was highly intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center, to be released when sober.

On Friday overnight, a 68 year old male from Brandon was found passed out downtown in a bank vestibule along Rosser Ave. Due to his level of intoxication, he was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center, to be released when sober.

On Friday evening, a 47 year old male from Brandon was causing a disturbance at the Shoppers Mall. He was initially asked to leave, but decided to return and continue causing a scene. He was removed and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center, to be released when sober.
