Assault Police Officer

On October 6, 2019, after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female who was screaming and yelling, and being aggressive towards employees at a business in the 1100 block of 18th street. When police arrived, she spit in the face of one of the officers. She was arrested, and transported to Brandon Correctional Centre. The 25-year-old female will appear in court today on a charge of Assault PO and she will receive a fine for Disorderly in a Licensed Premise under the Liquor Gaming, Cannabis Control Act.

 

Break and Enter to Garage

Overnight between October 5 and October 6, 2019 a detached garage in the 500 block of 6th street was broken into. The suspect gained entry by forcing the lock on a door. Stolen were 6 winter tires on black rims, two of which were size 215/55r17. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter and Theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

IPDA

Shortly before 1:00 pm on October 6, 2019, police received a report of two males who were intoxicated in the 400 block of 6th street. Witnesses believed the males were urinating in their yard. One of the males matching the description was located nearby and was found to be intoxicated by alcohol. As the 49-year-old male was not in a position to care for himself, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Uttering Threats to Cause Death

Shortly after 1:00 pm, police received information that a 28-year-old male had threatened to kill a family member at his residence. Police attended the residence, arrested, and removed the male. He will appear in court on October 28, 2019 on a charge of Uttering Threats to Cause Death.

 

Arrest Warrant

A report of suspicious activity occurring in a residence at approximately 5:40 pm, led police to locate and arrest a 43-year-old male who was wanted on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 – Motor Vehicle, Fail to Comply with Promise to Appear, and Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000. The suspicious activity that police originally attended the residence for was unsubstantiated.

 

Breach of Peace

Police responded to a report of a male pedestrian, who was acting erratically in traffic in the area of 18th and Kirkaldy at 6:20 pm. The 37-year-old male was found to be intoxicated by alcohol. The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent any potential accidents from occurring.

 

Arrest Warrant

Police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Douglas St after 8:00 pm. The driver was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for charges of Breach of Probation and Fail to Attend Court. He will appear in court on November 4, 2019.

 

Breach of Probation

At approximately 10:30 pm, police received a report of a disturbance in a residence. Police found that the individual who was the cause of the disturbance was to abide by a court ordered condition not to have any contact with the resident of the home. The 20-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. He will appear in court on December 2, 2019 on a charge of Breach of Probation.

 

Breach of Peace

At approximately 10:50 pm, police received a report of a female who was bothering customers at a business in the 700 block of 10th street, by acting in a threatening and intimidating manner. The female was found to be under the influence of illicit drugs. The 15-year-old female youth was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Breach of Peace

At approximately 11:20 pm, police were called to a report of a disturbance at a residence where one individual was behaving in a threatening manner to other individuals at the residence. The cause of the disturbance was found to be a 26-year-old male who was believed to be under the influence of meth. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

IPDA

Shortly after midnight, police received a report of a female who appeared to be in distress in the 700 block of 6th street. The 31-year-old female was found to be alone and under the influence of meth. She was unable to care for herself, so she was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Breach of OIC Undertaking.

At approximately 2:00 am, police responded to a report of excessively loud music and screaming coming from a residence in the 400 block of 6th street. The individual responsible for the noise was found to have conditions not to consume alcohol or drugs, and he was found to be in breach. The 24-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on a charge of Breach of OIC Undertaking.
