Possess Meth/Resist Arrest

At 7:40 p.m. Saturday, a male known to police to be wanted on several warrants of arrest was observed by officers walking south in the 500 block of 10th Street across the street from the BPS office, while pushing a bike beside him. Officers approached the 37-year-old Brandon male, who threw the bike towards police and ran from them but was quickly apprehended and arrested. A search subsequent to arrest found the male to be in possession of several knives and pocket weigh scales, two cell phones, credit cards that did not belong to him, and multiple small baggies containing crystal meth. The male will appear in court today after being detained overnight Saturday, and is facing charges of possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking, breach of undertaking, possession of stolen credit cards, resist arrest, possession of property obtained by crime, and three counts of possession of a dangerous weapon. He will also appear on the original arrest warrants held for him, which include charges of breach of probation and possession of property obtained by crime.
