Theft Under

At approximately 12:30 pm, police received a report of the theft of merchandise from a downtown business. Officers recognized the male suspect from the video surveillance at the business. He was located and arrested in the 000 block of 10th street at approximately 1:45 pm. The 33-year-old male was also to abide by conditions to reside at a specific address. Police learned that he was in breach of this condition. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on a charge of theft under $5000 and Breach of Recognizance.

 

IPDA

At 2:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female who had entered Probation Services offices the while extremely intoxicated. Employees report that she was having difficulty staying awake. As there was no one to care for her and she was in no condition to be left on her own, the 25-year-old female was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Arrest Warrant

Shortly before 6:00 pm, while investigating another matter, police came across a female at a residence who was wanted on charges of Breach of Recognizance. Police learned that she was also on conditions not to be in contact with the male who was in her company. The 36-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on charges of Breach of Recognizance.

The 40-year-old male she was with was also to abide by conditions not to communicate with her. He was arrested for Breach of Probation and will appear in court on October 31, 2019.

 

Breach of Recognizance

At approximately 6:30 pm, police responded to a report of an unwanted male in the 200 block of 18th street. The male continued to remain on the private property, in spite of the barring notice he had received. When police located the male, he was in possession of a knife, which was contrary to a condition he was to abide by not to possess any weapons. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on a charge of Breach of Recognizance.

 

Arrest Warrant

Shortly before 7:00 pm, police attended to the residence of a male youth who was wanted on charges of Fail to Attend Court, and Mischief to Property. The 17-year-old male was located there and arrested. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today.

 

Fraudulently Use Credit Card

An ongoing investigation into the Fraudulent Use of Credit Card and Debit Card at two businesses led police to the arrest of the suspect. On October 1, 2019, the 60-year-old male suspect contacted police himself shortly before 7:00 pm to report suspicious activity that he was witnessing, separate from the invesigation into the use of credit cards. He was located and arrested for his involvement in the frauds. He will appear in court on November 25, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant

At approximately 8:45 pm police responded to a report of a female in a downtown business who appeared to be attempting to shoplift. Police learned the female was the subject of an outstanding warrant for Possess Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Attend Court. She was unsuccessful in stealing anything, but was arrested on the strength of the warrant. She was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today.

 

Breach of Peace

At 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male who was causing problems at a residence while intoxicated. The 32-year-old male left the residence but was located at a licensed establishment in the downtown area, where he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent any further disturbances.

 

Breach of OIC Undertaking

At 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence. Once of the individuals in attendance at the home was to abide by conditions not to communicate with another individual present, and he was found to be the cause of the disturbance. The 18-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court on October 31, 2019.

 

IPDA

Police attended to a business in the 100 block of 18th street at approximately 1:30 am, in response to a report of a male who was on the property while intoxicated, and unwilling to leave. As there was no one to care for him the 52-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.
