Prohibited Driving

Police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of 28th street at approximately 9:45 am and found the driver to be prohibited. He was arrested and will appear in court on November 4, 2019. The vehicle he was driving, which was not his own, was seized for 60 days.


Theft Under $5000

At approximately 3:00 pm an off duty police officer observed a male in the 1100 block of 18th street behaving strangely. On-duty members attended and found the male to be in possession of merchandise that the male admitted to stealing from a business in the 1500 block of 18th street. The 21-year-old male will appear in court on October 31, 2019 for Theft Under $5000.


Breach of Peace

Police were flagged down in the 000 block of 10th street to a female who was becoming combative with others. She was found to be under the influence of meth. The 27-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent any further issues.


Possession of Meth/Obstruct Police

Shortly after 8:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Victoria Ave. A passenger provided police with a false name, but he was quickly recognized as a male who was wanted on charges of Breach of Probation. The 33-year-old male was arrested, and upon his arrest, police located a small quantity of Meth in his possession. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear today on charges of Breach of Probation, Possession of Meth and Obstruct Police.


Arrest Warrant

Shortly before 11:00 pm, police received a report of a disturbance at a residence. A male had attended the residence in an intoxicated state, and proceeded throw household items around. The male was kicked out of the residence, but continued to try to get back inside, in spite of being unwelcome. Police located the male near the residence and found that he was the subject of an arrest warrant. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. The 23-year-old male will appear in court in Portage la Prairie at a later date for Sexual Assault.
