For the last 24 hours:



At approximately 0700 hours, police received a report of a Robbery in the 300 block of 13th Street. The subject who was known to the complainant entered the unlocked door and sprayed the complainant with WD-40. The subject threatened to stab the occupants, set them on fire and left after stealing $100 cash, a cell phone and a tablet.  Police attended to the area, however the subject had fled. This matter is still under investigation.

 BPS Warrant

A 39 year old male was arrested by Falcon Lake RCMP on the strength of our unendorsed warrants of arrest for Break and Enter and Theft and Breach of Probation. 

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

At approximately 1410 hours, while on a Downtown foot patrol in the 800 block of Rosser, officers observed two males selling prescription medication. Both subjects were arrested and officers located 36 T3’s, 2 Hydromorphone and 30 Oxycodone tablets. A 55 and 39 year old male were arrested, released and will each appear in court on November 14, 2019.

WPS Warrant Executed

At approximately 1620 hours, officers were in the 300 block of 6th St on an unrelated matter and while there located the accused who had an outstanding WPS endorsed warrant.  A 20 year old male was arrested and will attend court in Winnipeg on September 18, 2019 for Fail to Appear for Prints.

Theft Under $5000

On September 3, 2019 the accused attended a Brandon business to make a delivery for his employer. While there the accused rummaged through an employee’s purse that was on a desk, stealing $40.  The accused turned himself into Police after he was contacted and advised the theft was caught on video surveillance. A 54 year old male was arrested and will appear in court on November, 04, 2019.      


At approximately 1625 hours, police conducted a traffic stop on Grand Valley Road as the accused was observed swerving within his lane. Police administered the ASD which the accused failed and was therefore transported to BPS where he provided 2 samples with reading over the legal driving limit. A 56 year old male was arrested to appear in court on September 16, 2019 charged with Driver Over 80mg% and Impaired Driving.  


At approximately 1950 hours, a 36 year old male was taken into custody at his residence on the strength of a Maintenance Enforcement Warrant. The accused was lodged at BCC as directed by the order, to appear this morning to answer to the charge of FTA Court for Show Cause Hearing.

Theft Under $5,000

At approximately 2025 hours, a male fled from a Brandon business located in the 1600 block of 18th St after stealing $60 worth of merchandise. Staff pursued the accused and with the assistance of a citizen the accused was apprehended in the area. A 19 year old male was intoxicated and lodged at BCC for release in the morning when sober and to attend court on November 4, 2019.


On September 2, 2019 a citizen reported that his wallet had been lost or misplaced sometime the evening prior and his cards had been fraudulently used for several purchases at different Brandon businesses. After reviewing surveillance video from the businesses two males aged 17 and 14 were identified, located, arrested and released to attend court on October 8 charged with Fraud Under $5000.


At approximately 2200 hours, police received an assault complaint indicating the victim was punched in the head at his residence by the accused. Additionally, the accused had an outstanding WPS warrant. A 16 year old male was arrested and lodged at BCC to appear in court this morning.


At approximately 2310 hours, police conducted a pedestrian check in the downtown area. A 32 year old male was observed to be intoxicated contrary to his probation order, therefore was arrested and lodged at BCC for release when sober and to attend court on October 3, 2019.


At approximately 0135 hours, police conducted a pedestrian check in the 1000 block of Victoria Avenue. The accused was intoxicated and had been reported as missing from her home earlier in the evening. There was no answer at the accused residence, therefore the 15 year female was lodged at BCC to be released to parent or guardian once sober.  


At 0350 hours, a disturbance was reported at a residence located in the 100 block of 4th Street. Police attended and located the accused who was found to be intoxicated contrary to a Probation order. A 20 year old male was lodged at BCC for release when sober to attend court on October 3, 2019.
