CDSA Search

On September 4, 2019, at approximately 8:15 pm, members of the Organized Crime Section conducted a CDSA search of a residence in the 3600 block of Centennial Blvd. Located during the search was approximately 6 ounces of Methamphetamine and cash. The street value of the Methamphetamine is approximately $16,000. One occupant of the residence was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. The 29-year-old male will appear in court today on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Meth, Possess Proceeds of Crime, and Breach of Recognizance X 5.

A 32-year-old male who had exited the residence just prior to the search was found to be in possession of approximately 3.5 grams of Meth and a knife. He was arrested and will appear in court on October 17, 2019 on charges of Possession of Meth, and Possess Weapon Dangerous.

While police were conducting the search, a 30-year-old male attended the residence. He was found to be on Parole with conditions directing him to stay away from those involved in the drug subculture. He was arrested and found to be in possession of a large amount of cash. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear today for Possess Proceeds of Crime.

 

Breach of Peace

At approximately 7:00 am, police were called to a disturbance at an apartment building in the 300 block of 15th street. There was an intoxicated individual in the lobby, who was not welcome there. The male was arguing with another individual, and threatening to destroy property. The 25-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent the continuation of the disturbance.

 

Arrest Warrant

A 37-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service shortly after 9:00 am, as he was aware of an outstanding warrant in effect for his arrest. He will appear in court in Minnedosa on November 5, 2019 on a charge of Assault.

 

Arrest Warrant/Breach OIC Undertaking

At noon, police received a call from a downtown business about a female who was on their premises, which was a contradiction to the conditions she was to abide by. The 25-year-old female was also the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Fail to Attend. She was arrested and will appear in court on October 19, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant

At approximately 2:30 pm, during a traffic stop in the 500 block of Lorne Ave., a 21-year-old female passenger was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant. She was arrested and will appear in court in Portage La Prairie on September 23, 2019 on charges of theft Under $5000, and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Arrest Warrant

At approximately 10:45 pm, during a call to a disturbance in the 700 block of Rosser Ave., police came across a 36-year-old male pedestrian who was wanted on charges of Theft Under $5000, and Breach of Recognizance. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court today.

 

LGCCA – Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Control Act

Shortly after midnight, while on patrol in the downtown area police came across an intoxicated 20-year-old male in the 800 block of Pacific Ave who was publicly consuming alcohol, causing a disturbance, and attempting to damage property. He was not successful in causing the damage; but he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. He will be released this morning after he is served with a $672.00 fine for Consume Liquor in a Public Place.
