Impaired Driver

On Sunday morning just before 11:00am, a vehicle was stopped by police for suspicion of an impaired driver, in front of the Brandon University. After failing a roadside screening device test, the diver was brought to the police station where he provided two breath samples of more than double the legal limit.  A 35 year old male from Brandon was charged with Driving while impaired and Drive over .08mg. He was released with a court date for September 9th, 2019.


Arrest Warrants Executed

On Sunday morning at approximately 9:15 am, RCMP members from Portage La Prairie advised that they had arrested a 34 year old male from Brandon on an outstanding warrant held by the Brandon Police Service. The male was wanted for Theft under $5000, and Breaching his recognizance order. He was held in custody in Portage La Prairie for court on 2019-09-03.


Other Arrests

On Sunday at approximately 1:00pm, security from the Brandon Shopper's mall reported an intoxicated male trespasser in their custody, who had previously been barred from the mall. The suspect was identified as a 56 male from Brandon. Police attended to remove him and he was lodged at BCC under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.
