Five IPDA

 

On August 11, 2019, shortly after 9:00 am, police received a complaint of a male passed out on a downtown sidewalk. The 22-year-old male was found to be highly intoxicated by alcohol, and was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

On August 11, 2019, shortly after 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of four intoxicated individuals out near Kirkaldy Drive and Conservation Drive. When police arrived, two of the individuals were able to walk away and care for themselves; however, two males were passed out due to alcohol consumption, and were not able to left on their own. The two 56-year-old men were arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

On August 11, 2019 shortly before 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male who was under the influence of Meth in a residence where he was no longer welcome. The 61-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre, as there was nobody who was able to care for him.

On August 11, 2019 shortly before 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female who was under the influence of Meth, standing in the intersection of 6th St. and Park Ave. demanding people call police. Police found she was unable to care for herself; she was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Break and Enter to Shed

On August 11, 2019 at approximately 9:45 am, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a shed in the 000 block of Riverheights Dr., which is believed to have occurred within the preceding 24 hours. The shed was believed to have been unlocked. Stolen was a set of golf clubs. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Break and Enter to Garage

On August 11, 2019 just prior to 4:00 pm, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a detached garage in the 300 block of 16th street. The B&E is believed to have occurred between August 8, and the time of report. Suspects entered the garage by prying the door. Stolen was a 40’ extension ladder, 2 skill saws, an electric pole saw, a gas powered chain saw and a lawn mower. Break and Enter to Shed

On August 11, 2019, shortly before 5:00 pm, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a Shed, which is believed to have occurred sometime overnight on Balsam Cres. Entry was made by the suspects prying the locked latch. Stolen was a blue women’s bicycle, and a Garman 500 Fish Finder. Arrest Warrant

On August 11, 2019 at approximately 1:30 pm, police responded to a neighbourhood dispute. One of the individuals, a 28-year-old male, was found to be wanted on a charge of Utter Threats out of Winnipeg Police Service. He was arrested and released to appear in court in Winnipeg on September 24, 2019.

 

Assault

On August 11, 2019, police received a report of an assault which occurred on August 10, 2019. Investigation revealed that a 27-year-old female and a 25-year-old male had assaulted each other with pushes and punches, as they were each left with bruises and scratch marks. Both individuals were arrested and released to appear in court on August 16, 2019 and September 19, 2019 respectively.

 

Impaired Driving/Resist Arrest

On August 11, 2019 shortly before 9:00 pm, police received a report of a driver who was operating a vehicle on 18th street north while impaired. The vehicle was located in the 200 block of 18th street N. The operator, a 51-year-old male was uncooperative with police upon arrest and tried to run away. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre after providing a blood sample for analysis. He will be released this morning on charges of Resist arrest and Impaired Driving.

 

Assault

On August 1, 2019, police received a report of historical assaults occurring over a period from October 2017, and March 2019. Further investigation lead to the arrest of a 17-year-old male youth. He will be appearing in court on September 10, 2019 on charges of Assault, and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

 

Arrest Warrant

On August 12, 2019 at approximately 2:15 am, police came across a pedestrian in the downtown area who was wanted on a warrant for charges of Use Counterfeit Money, and Fail to appear in Court. The 49-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court today.

 

Impaired Driving/Drive over 80 mg%

This morning, just after Midnight, police observed a vehicle in the downtown area with inactive license plates. When police stopped and spoke to the operator, she displayed signs of impairment. Once arrested, she provided samples of her breath that were more than the legal limit. A male passenger, who was also impaired attempted to withhold the vehicle keys from police, and continued to be uncooperative with officers. The 27-year-old female driver was released to a sober friend and will appear in court on August 15, 2019. The 42-year-old male passenger was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre for Breach of the Peace.

 

Possession of House Break Instruments, Possession of Meth

This morning at approximately 12:30 am, police came across a male while on patrol in the downtown area. The male was in possession of bolt cutters and a small quantity of meth. The 39-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre, and will appear in court today.

 

Breach of the Peace

This morning, shortly before 4:00 am, police received a report of an individual who was harassing customers outside a business in the 700 block of 10th street. Police located a 44-year-old male on the premises who was intoxicated. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent any further issues.
