Possession of Meth

 

Shortly before 1:00 pm, police were called to a disturbance in the 1000 block of 10th street. A 47-year-old male involved in the disturbance was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Breach of Recognizance. During a search of the male, a small amount of suspected Meth was found on him. The male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today.

 

Arrest Warrant

At approximately 1:10 pm, a 25-year-old female turned herself in to Brandon Police Service, as she was aware there was an outstanding warrant for her arrest for Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Fail to Appear in Court. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today.

 

Arrest Warrant

While on patrol in the downtown area shortly before 4:00 pm, officers came across a female who was the subject of an arrest warrant. The 23-year-old female was intoxicated, and there was no one to release her to. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will be released to appear in court on September 3, 2019 for Breach of Probation.

 

Theft Under $5000

On February 1, 2019, police received a report of a theft of merchandise from a downtown business. The 43-year-old male suspect was identified through video surveillance, and located on Monday. He was arrested and will appear in court on October 3, 2019.

 

Public Mischief/Breach of Probation

Shortly after 5:00 pm, RCMP contacted BPS to report an erratic driver headed southbound toward Brandon on Hwy 10. Officers located the vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Middleton Ave with several occupants. One of the occupants initially provided police with a false name. When his identity was learned, he was found to be on Probation with a condition not to communicate with one of the other occupants. The 37-year-old male was arrested and will appear in court on October 3, 2019 for Public Mischief and Breach of Probation.

 

Refuse ASD

At approximately 3:30 pm, police observed a vehicle being driven the wrong way on Rosser Ave in the 1000 block. The driver was stopped and read the ASD-Approved Screening Device demand. The 44-year-old male driver refused to provide a sample. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will be appearing in court today.

 

Breach of Peace

At approximately 8:00 pm, police received a complaint of an unwanted family member at a residence. The female was yelling and swearing at others in the home, and throwing furniture around. She would not leave when they requested her to do so. The 19-year-old female was lodged at Brandon correctional centre to prevent the continuation of her behavior in the home.

 

Breach of Peace

At approximately 8:40 pm, police received a report of a second unwanted family member at a separate residence. The 38-year-old male was kicking at the door trying to get inside, but was unwelcome due to his intoxication level. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent the continuation of his behavior at the home.

 

Assault/Forcible Confinement

At approximately 1:20 am, police responded to a 911 call in which call takers could hear a disturbance in the background. When police arrived at the residence, they located an individual who was covered in bruises, who indicated they were physically prevented from leaving the residence by the suspect. The complainant did not require any medical attention. The 57-year-old male suspect was arrested at the residence and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. He will appear in court on September 5, 2019.

 

Assault

Police responded to the report of an assault at approximately 5:20 am at a residence. Investigation revealed that a 36-year-old male had assaulted another member of the household by hair pulling and hitting. The complainant did not require any medical attention. The male was arrested and will be appearing in court on September 3, 2019.
