Arrest Warrant

Shortly after 6:00 am on July 21, 2019, police conducted a traffic stop and identified an 18-year-old female passenger as the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Take Motor Vehicle Without consent. The female was also found to be on a court ordered curfew. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court later Sunday morning for the Warrant, and for Breach of OIC Undertaking.


Arrest Warrant

On Sunday evening, an 18-year-old female turned herself into Brandon Police Service, as she was aware there was an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on charges of Possess Loaded Prohibited Weapon without License, Careless Storage of Firearm, and Possess Prohibited Weapon.


Assault with a Weapon/Possess Prohibited Weapon

At approximately 9:30 pm, police responded to a report that a male youth had just been sprayed with bear mace at his home by another male youth who was an acquaintance. The youth did not require any medical attention. The male youth suspect had left the residence prior to police arriving, but he and a parent attended Brandon Police Service shortly after 10:00 pm to respond to the allegations. He was arrested and will appear in court on August 20, 2019.



On July 21, 2019, we reported that a male was arrested and lodged due to a Parole Revocation Warrant following our response to a disturbance on July 20, 2019. On Sunday evening, police received further information regarding that disturbance. The 23-year-old male allegedly punched and kicked a female at the initial call causing bruises. As the male was currently lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre, he was arrested there for the assault and will appear in court today.
