Arrest Warrants Executed

 

On Saturday morning, police attended a disturbance at the Riverbank Discovery Center. A 32-year-old male from Winnipeg was found to have an arrest warrant for Possessing Property Obtained by Crime. The male was also in possession of a stolen credit card and was in breach of his court order. The male was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center for court in the morning.

On Saturday afternoon, police observed a male in the 800 block of 9th Street attempt to discard a backpack into a yard. The 32-year-old Brandon male was stopped and found to have an arrest warrant for Fraud. The backpack was recovered and found to contain a balaclava, gloves and two pry bars and a stolen credit card. The male was arrested and charged with possessing break in instruments and possession of the stolen credit card. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center for court in the morning.

Early Saturday evening, police attended a disturbance in the 3500 block of Willowdale Crescent. The male in attendance, a 23-year-old male from Brandon was discovered to have a Parole Revocation Warrant issued by Corrections Canada. The male was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center.

 

Court Order Violations

 

At 9:10 p.m., while conducting a Road Watch check stop, police checked a 23-year-old female who was found to be in violation of her court ordered curfew. She was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center for court in the morning.

On July 19th police conducted a curfew check on a 20-year-old Brandon male who was not at home in violation of his court ordered Recognizance. At 11:20 pm on Saturday night, he was located at his residence and arrested without incident. The male was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center for court in the morning.

 

Break and Enter

 

At 3:45 a.m., Sunday morning, police received an alarm from a business in the east end of Brandon. The building was entered through a window that was broken out. It is unknown if anything has been stolen at the time of the report. The matter is still under investigation.

 

Other Arrests

 

Five persons were arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and will be released when sober. One other was arrested for Breach of the Peace and will also be released when sober.
