Vehicle Pedestrian Collision

At 3:49 pm, police received a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the area of the 1900 block of Richmond Ave. The 43-year-old male pedestrian struck his head, and required medical treatment for cuts and bruises. The 35-year-old male driver was administered the ASD and blew a reading within the legal limit. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Arrest Warrant

 

At approximately 4:20 pm, police received a report of a male in the Corral Centre who was approaching people in an aggressive manner and asking for money. When police discovered the identity of the male, it was learned that he was wanted on an MFNP arrest warrant for Assault Cause Bodily Harm. The 24-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today.

 

Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth

Shortly before 7:00 am, police received a report that a male had just smashed out a window on a vehicle in the 000 block of 9th street. Police searched the area, and later located two suspects.

A 27-year-old male was arrested for the Mischief to Property. He was found to be in possession of approximately 5 grams of meth and packaging material. He will appear in court on August 12, 2019 for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Mischief to Property.

A 31-year-old male was also found to be in possession of approximately 3 grams of meth and a scale. He was also on court orders not to possess drugs. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Breach of Recognizance.

 

IPDA

Shortly before 6:00 pm, police received a report of a male who was passed out in the front lawn of a residence. The 67-year-old male had nowhere to go so he was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

 

Breach of the Peace

At approximately 8:40 pm, police received a report that there appeared to be a fight between 3 individuals on the Keystone grounds. One of the suspects was a 19-year-old female who was highly intoxicated. She was lodged to prevent any further issues. The other individuals were able to leave on their own accord.

 

Theft Under $5000

As a result of an ongoing investigation into a theft from a south end business that occurred on May 13, 2019 a female youth was identified through video surveillance. She was located on Monday evening and charged. She will appear in court on August 6, 2019.

 

Fraud Under $5000

An ongoing investigation into the theft of a debit card lead to the arrest of a 26-year-old female on Monday afternoon. The card was reported stolen on June 14, 2019, possibly from a downtown business where the complainant was working. Several transactions totaling approximately $150 were made before the theft was discovered. Video surveillance of the transactions allowed police to make an identification of the suspect. The female will be appearing in court in September 3, 2019.
