Three IPDA

At 9:45 am police were called to the north hill were there was a small group of people drinking a non-potable substance. One of the individuals located was unable to be left on his own accord due to his intoxication level. The 56-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

At approximately 9:30 pm, a 26-year-old female was screaming and causing concern for residents in the university area, and she was going onto private property. When she was located, she could barely walk. She was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

At approximately 9:45 pm a 37-year-old male was also lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre as he was found intoxicated in the east end with no one to care for him.

 

Six Arrest Warrants Executed

A 16-year-old female was aware there was a warrant in effect for her arrest and turned herself into police on Tuesday morning. She appeared in court that morning for Breach of Recognizance.

At approximately 12:40 pm, police were called to a disturbance at a residence were the occupants were believed to be fighting. One of the individuals involved was found to be wanted for Fail to Appear. The 19-year-old male was arrested and released to appear in court in July 25, 2019.

At approximately 12:20 pm, while on patrol in the downtown area, an officer came across a male he knew to be wanted. The male attempted to evade arrest by running away from the member, but he was arrested several blocks away. The 24-year-old male will appear in court on July 22, 2019 for Breach of Probation.

Shortly after 9:00 pm, while on patrol in the downtown area, an officer came across a 36-year-old male who was wanted on a number of charges including Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Mischief to Property, Utter Treats, and Theft Under $5000. Once arrested he was lodged and will appear in court today.

Just before midnight, a female youth was located at her home. She had previously been reported as a runaway. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. She will appear in court this morning for Breach of Undertaking.

After 2:00 am, a 36-year-old male cut through the back of Brandon Police Service parking lot, and was observed by officers. He was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Assault. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today.

 

Two Separate Break and Enters – Businesses

A business owner in the 900 block of Queens Ave found the side window of the business smashed, upon arriving for work on Tuesday morning. Stolen was a gumball machine, and a scented oil diffuser.

At approximately 4:00 am, this morning, cleaners arrived to a business in the 1100 block of Richmond Ave. and discovered that a window had been smashed and entry gained. Once inside suspects took several bottles of wine. This business had also experienced a Break and Enter the night prior, but did not report to police at the time.

Breach of Probation

Shortly before 3:00 pm, police were made aware of the fact that the subject of a Probation Order with a clause not to contact another individual was in breach of the order at that time. The 32-year-old male was located at the residence of the individual he was to abstain from communicating. He was arrested and later released to appear in court on July 22, 2019.

 

Assault

Shortly after 6:00 pm, a male attended to a restaurant downtown asking the staff for assistance as he had just been assaulted by a male. While he was in the restaurant seeking help, the suspect came in and punched him again, then left. The victim did not require medical attention. Police received a separate call of a male who was passed out in a downtown park at approximately 7:30 pm. This male turned out to be the subject of the assault complaint. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre due to his intoxication level. He will appear in court on August 26, 2019.

 

Assault

At approximately 7:30 pm, a female reported having been assaulted by a male. Police assisted the female in getting to the hospital to have her injuries checked out. While at the hospital, the suspect attended looking for her. He was arrested by police and will appear in court on July 25, 2019.

 

Break and Enter and Commit Mischief

At approximately 11:20 pm police received a report that a male had just broken into an apartment and proceeded to smash the property inside. The male was known to the homeowner, but forced his way into the residence without permission. He fled the residence prior to police arrival, but was located and arrested a short distance away. Due to his intoxication level, he was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will be released to appear in court on August 26, 2019.
