21 JUNE 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS:

 

 

Breach of Probation:

At 1:17pm police attended to a residence in the 3500’ block of Willowdale Cres for a disturbance. Police located a 32 year old Brandon man at the residence who was intoxicated. He was in breach of a probation order with conditions not to consume alcohol and not to have contact with another person who was at the residence. He was lodged at BCC to be released when sober for court on July 22nd, 2019.

 

Warrant Executed:

At 5:45pm police conducted a traffic stop in the 1400’ block of Park Ave. The driver, a 27 year old Brandon man, was found to have a warrant for failing to attend court. He was arrested and released for court on July 18th, 2019.

 

Theft under $5000 (Shoplifting):

At 5:33pm police received a theft complaint from a business in the 900’ block of Victoria Ave. A 24 year old Brandon man was arrested for theft under $5000 and released for court on August 1st, 2019.

 

Break & Enter (Shed):

At 6:40pm police received a complaint of a break & enter to a shed in the 1300’ block of 1st Street. It is believed the B&E occurred between 11:00pm on June 19th and 6:15pm on June 20th. It did not appear anything had been taken at that time. Police continue to investigate.

 

Breach of Probation:

At 9:27pm police received a complaint that a 47 year old Brandon man had breached his probation order by having contact with a person contrary to the order. He was located and arrested for the breach. He was released for court on July 18th, 2019.

 

Breach of Recognizance:

At 9:53pm police conducted a pedestrian check on a 38 year old Brandon man. He was breaching a recognizance condition by not residing as directed on his order. He was arrested and lodged at BCC for court on June 21, 2019.

 

Disturbance / Breach of Recognizance:

At 10:34pm police were called to the 700’ block of Lorne Ave for a group of people fighting. Upon arrival several combatants fled on foot. Two individuals were apprehended by police at the scene and both were found to be in breach of recognizance conditions for consuming alcohol and breaching curfews. A 33 year old man and a 28 year old man, both from Keesee F.N., were arrested and lodged at BCC for court in the morning.

 

Bear Spray Incident:

At 10:56pm police were called to a residence in the 3500’ block of Willowdale Cres as two people had been sprayed with bear spray by three other suspects. The victims were transported to the hospital for medical treatment; however, have not provided police with a statement at this time. Police continue to investigate.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

At 1:13am police were called to a residence in the 2000’ block of Tracy Street for a disturbance. A 36 year old female was located intoxicated and causing problems. She was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Theft of Motor Vehicle, Stolen Credit Card:

At 2:23am police observed a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Winnipeg. The vehicle was stopped in the 1000’ block of 4th Street and three occupants, all from Winnipeg, were arrested. They were also found in possession of a stolen credit card. The suspects were aged 15, 16, and 17. All three were lodged at BCC for court in the morning.
