20 JUNE 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS:

 

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

At 9:03pm police were called to the area of Violet Cres for a man walking down the street causing a disturbance. Police located the 32 year old man who was intoxicated. He was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Possession / Use of Stolen Credit Card:

On June 18th, 2019, police received a complaint from a man indicating his credit card had been lost over the weekend and used at several locations throughout the city. Police were able to identify a suspect through video surveillance. On June 19th, 2019, a 42 year old Brandon man was arrested for the incident. He was released for court on August 15th, 2019.

 

Theft under $5000 (Shoplifting):

On June 3rd, 2019, police received a complaint of theft from a business in the 100’ block of Victoria Ave East. The suspect was identified through video surveillance and arrested on June 19th, 2019. The 23 year old Brandon woman was released on conditions for court on August 15th, 2019.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

At 8:20pm police were called to the 1000’ block of 18th Street for a disturbance. A 49 year old female was located intoxicated. She was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Breach of Peace:

At approximately midnight, police were called to a residence in the 400’ block of 17th Street for a disturbance. A 27 year old Brandon man was arrested for breaching the peace and lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Warrant Executed (Theft under $5000):

At 5:06am police located a 21 year old Brandon man in the 700’ block of Braecrest Drive who had an outstanding warrant of arrest for theft under $5000. He was released for court on July 22nd, 2019.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

At 6:04am police responded to a complaint of a highly intoxicated man walking in the area of 34th Street and Richmond Ave. A 24 year old Brandon man was arrested and lodged at BCC to be released when sober.
