Warrants – Multiple charges

Police responded to a report of a male who appeared to be intoxicated and passed out in a downtown park at approximately 9:30 am.  Members discovered that the 21 year old male was wanted on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Break Enter and Theft, and multiple breaches.  He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court.

 

Breach of the Peace

Shortly before 1:00pm, Police received reports of a 21 year old female walking in and out of traffic downtown.  Once police located her she was found to be intoxicated and was lodged to prevent any further incidents from occurring.

At approximately 2:00pm Police discovered a 38 year old male pedestrian whom they believe was attempting to enter parked vehicles near 4th and College.  He was found to be intoxicated and was therefore lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent any further incidents.

At approximately 9:30pm police responded to a family feud that had spilled out into a south end neighborhood.  Two men were located on scene.  One of the men continued to be belligerent and was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent further problems. 

 

Theft Under $5000

Police identified a suspect from a theft which occurred on April 19, 2019 from video surveillance at a business in the 1900 block of Richmond Ave.  The 39 year old male suspect was observed stealing a bicycle.  He was located Monday evening and arrested.  He will be appearing in court today.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

The red Dodge Ram Rebel reported stolen during yesterday’s Break and Enters was located by RCMP from White Butte Detachment in Saskatchewan on Monday evening.  The vehicle was abandoned, stuck in a ditch.  RCMP report that the truck had on license plates which were stolen from the Brandon area.

 

Assault Cause Bodily Harm

Shortly after midnight police responded to an assault in progress at a residence in Brandon’s south end.  The 43 year old male suspect fled prior to police arrival and was later located downtown.  He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will be released this morning to appear in court on a later date.  A 41 year old woman was treated for her injuries at BRHC.

 

Breach of OIC Undertaking

Police responded to reports of car hoppers in the 1000 block of 2nd street shortly after 3:30 am.  During patrols in the area, a 31 year old male pedestrian was located.  Records revealed that he was on court orders to abide by a 10pm curfew.  He was arrested and released to appear in court on July 8, 2019.

 

Breach of Recognizance and Breach of Probation

At approximately 5:00 am police received reports of a fight in a downtown apartment.  Located at the scene was a 31 year old female who was under a court order to abide by a curfew.  She was arrested as she was not in her own home, and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.  She will be appearing in court today.  Another 27 year old female was also located at the disturbance and found to be the subject of an arrest warrant for Breach of Probation.  She was also lodged and will appear in court today.
