For the last 24 hours:

Warrant – Breach of Court Order

Tuesday afternoon members from MFNP arrested a 28 year old Brandon male on an outstanding BPS warrant.  The male was released to appear in court on June 6, 2019.

Assault/Forcible Confinement

Yesterday afternoon a woman attended BPS to report that she had been punched in the face by a 45 year old Brandon male on April 30, 2019.  The male then held the woman in her suite against her will to prevent anyone from seeing her with a black eye.  He was located and arrested later in the afternoon.  He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court this morning.

Stolen/Recovered Snowmobile

Tuesday morning BPS received a report of the theft of a snowmobile and trailer from a residence in Brandon’s east end.  The theft occurred sometime between May 6, 2019 at 6:30pm and May 7, 2019 at 8:40am.  A witness believes they saw two individuals hook up the trailer and travel east with it on the evening of May 6.  On Tuesday afternoon both the trailer and snowmobile were recovered by RM of Cornwallis Police Service, southeast of the city.  Anyone with information on this theft are encouraged to contact BPS.

Breach of OIC Undertaking

Early Tuesday evening, members of BPS responded to a 911 hang-up call to a residence in the south end of Brandon.  Members located a 41 year old Brandon male in the residence who is on conditions to have no communication with the homeowner.  Once arrested he was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will be appearing in court this morning.

Breach of Probation

Late Tuesday evening BPS responded to a complaint of an unwanted intoxicated male in a west end residence.  Responding members discovered that the 38 year old male was on conditions to abstain from consuming alcohol and to have no communication with the homeowner.  He was lodged at Brandon Correction Centre due to his intoxication level and will be released to appear in court on a later date.

Early Wednesday morning BPS members stopped two male pedestrians and discovered both were the subjects of outstanding warrants.  A 24 year old male was arrested and released to appear in court on June 17, 2019 on charges of Fail to Appear in Court and Theft Under $5000.  A 20 year old male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear this morning on charges of Assault and Fail to Appear in Court.
