Breach of Probation / Breach of Undertaking

On April 30th, 2019, at 8:30 am, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and found that the driver had a court ordered non communication order with the passenger in the vehicle. The 29 year old man from Rivers was arrested and released on a PTA to appear in Brandon Court on June 27th, 2019.

 

Assault with a Weapon

On April 30th, 2019, police attended to a domestic-related complaint at a residence in the 1000 blk of 9th Street. Both involved parties had been drinking prior which led to an argument resulting in the 54 year old woman from Brandon stabbing her common-law partner in the arm. Injuries are described as minor in nature. The woman was lodged at BCC and will be released on a PTA when sober.

 

Theft Under $ 5000

On April 30th, 2019, police attended to a theft complaint at a business in the 900 blk of Victoria Avenue. A 26 year old Brandon woman was charged with Theft Under $ 5000 as a result of the incident and was subsequently released on a PTA to appear in Brandon Court on June 13th, 2019.

 

Warrant Executed

On April 30th, 2019, at 6:45 pm, an 18 year old Brandon man attended to BPS to turn himself in when he discovered that he had an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation. The man was released on a PTA to attend Brandon Court on May 21st,2019.

 

Breach of Undertaking

On April 30th, 2019, at 8:38 pm, police attended to a complaint in the 1300 blk of 1st Street regarding a 12 year old youth that was intoxicated and causing trouble at the residence. The youth was lodged at BCC until sober and will be released on a PTA for breaching her Undertaking.  She will appear in Brandon Court on May 28th, 2019.

 

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act

On April 30th, 2019, at 9:21 pm, police located a 50 year old man from Winnipeg passed on in the 000 blk of 8th Street. The man was lodged at BCC and will be released when sober.

 

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act

On April 30th, 2019, at 9:51 pm, police attended to a complaint of a man banging on doors in the 1000 blk of 9th Street. The 29 year old man was located and found to be intoxicated. As a result, he was lodged at BCC and will be released when sober.

 

Breach of Recognizance

On April 30th, 2019, at 11:38 pm, police conducted a person check on a 20 year old man, of no fixed address, in the 300 blk of 26th Street. The man was found to be out past his court ordered curfew and as a result was arrested and lodged at BCC for breaching this condition of his Recognizance. The man will appear in Brandon Court on May 1st,2019.

 

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act

On May 1st, 2019, at 12 am, police attended to a complaint of an intoxicated woman banging on doors in the 200 blk of 8th Street. The woman was located and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.  She will be released when sober.
