17 APRIL 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS:

Theft Under $5000 and Fraud Over $5000:

Between December 28 2017 and September 21 2018 a 35 year old Minnedosa Male had as a former employee, defrauded a business in the 300 block of Park Avenue East of over $10,000 and also stole a generator. He was arrested on 16 April 2019 and released for court on June 13 2019.

Arrest Warrant Executed: (Dangerous Driving, Fail to stop for police, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime):

On April 16, 2019, a 25 year old male was arrested by the Winnipeg Police Service on our warrant for the above offences. He is to appear in court in Winnipeg this morning.

Arrest Warrant Executed: (Theft Under $5000)

On April 16, 2019, police were called to a residence in the 500 block of 22 Street for a disturbance and located a 40 year old Brandon female who was arrested as a warrant existed for the above noted offences. She will appear in court this morning.

Arrest Warrant Executed: (Sexual Assault x 2)

On April 16, 2019, a 21 year old Brandon male turned himself into Brandon Police as he knew there was a warrant for his arrest for the above noted charges from the St Rose RCMP. He was released to appear in court in Dauphin on May 21 2019.

Arrest Warrant Executed: (Breach of Probation)

On April 16, 2019, a 30 year old Brandon male was arrested in the 400 block of 17 Street, as a warrant existed for the above mentioned offences. He will appear in court this morning.

Arrest Warrant Executed: (Breach of Undertaking x 2, Public Mischief)

On April 16, 2019, at 10:23pm a 36 year old Brandon male was checked by police in the 400 block of Princess Avenue. At first, he gave police a false name, once his true identity was known he was found to have a warrant for the above noted charge of Breach of Undertaking, as well he was charged with Public Mischief for providing the false name and two new counts of Breach of Undertaking for breaching his curfew and not residing where directed by the courts. He was released for court on May 13 2019.

Intoxicated Person Detention Act/Breach of the Peace:

Over the last 24 hrs, two persons were lodged at BCC for being intoxicated and one person was lodged for breach of the peace. All will be released in the morning with no charges.
