15 APRIL 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS:

Arrest Warrant Executed (Theft Under $5000, Fail to Attend Court, Breach of Probation):

On April 14 2019, at 08:38am Swan River RCMP arrested a 38 year old female in Swan River with an outstanding warrant for theft under $5000, failing to attend court and breach of probation. She was lodged at their point for court in the morning.

Impaired Driving by Drug

On April 14, 2019, at 08:41am a 19 year old female of no fixed address was involved an accident in the 000 block of Knowlton Drive. It was determined that the driver was under the influence of a drug. The female was charged with Drive while ability impaired by drug. She was logged at BCC for court in the morning.

Theft Under $5000, Possess Property Obtained by Crime

On April 14, 2019, at 10:20am police were called to the 800 block of 18th Street, on a report of individuals trying to open car doors. A 20 year old male of no fixed address admitted to police to stealing items from a business in the 800 block of 18th street. He was also found to be in possession of a Government check that did not belong to him. He was charged with Theft Under $5000 and Possess Property Obtained by Crime. He is to appear in court in the morning.

 

Theft Under $5000, Possession of a Weapon

On April 14, 2019, at 10:20am police were called to the 800 block of 18th Street, on a report of individuals trying to open car doors. A 25 year old female from Keeseekoowenin admitted to police to stealing items from a business in the 800 block of 18th street. She was also found to be in possession of a large dagger style knife. She was charged with the above noted charges and was released on a Promise to Appear in court on June 10, 2019.

Mischief Under $5000

On 14 April, 2019, at 1:12pm police were called to a disturbance in the 100 block of 11th Street. A 20 year old female of no fixed address had caused damage to an air conditioner. She will appear in court in the morning.

Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Public Mischief and Resist Arrest also Arrest Warrant Executed (Breach of Probation):

On April 14, 2019 at 7:57 pm police were called to a business in the 300 block of 10th Street. A 26 year old Brandon male was located with an upper body injury. He provided a false name to police and was found to have a Winnipeg Police Service Warrant of arrest for Breach of Probation. He was also combative with police upon arrest and found to have methamphetamine in his possession. He will appear in court in the morning.

Stolen Vehicle

On April 15, 2019 at 3:18 am, police received a report that a 2005 Chrysler 300, 4 door Green was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of 22 Street. Police continue to investigate.
